RECOMMENDATION: Review the JOB recommendations and take action to affirm the 2022 Affordable Housing and Homeless Housing fund expenditures as recommended. REVI D /2/2/71( Mark McCaule nterim County Administrato Date Recommendation of the JOB 09/22/2021 Submitted by Task Force Facilitator Lizanne Coker RFP Panel: Lori Fleming,Joe Nole, Peggy Webster, Barbara Morey,Julia Cochrane Terry Smith as JOB representative Process: The Panel individually evaluated each submission against the scoring criteria and developed questions for applicants,after receiving the applications in August of 20221.The applicants responded promptly. The answers were then shared among panel members. Each member then scored the applications individually.A consensus was reached on the approach to evaluation and funding of the applications. Results: Six of the seven organizations submitting applications received some or all of the requested funds.The initial amounts were as follows: Applicant Fund Amount Recommended Dove House—Emergency temporary 149 $ 87,588 shelter for victims of domestic violence Request: $87,588 Habitat 148 $ 50,000 Repair 5 homes for w/30%AMI Request: $50,000 Bayside 148 $ 35,000 PTAC Heater Request: $35,000 Bayside 149 $ 19,412 Tiny Shelter Support for homes Partially funding in the Request: $35,000 first round of funding OlyCAP—Haines St Cottages 149 $ 40,000 Request: $40,000 OlyCAP—Emergency Shelter 148 $ 90,000 Request: $218,000 149 $128,000 Pfeiffer House/Owl 360 148 Not funded in the first $70,800 round of funding Total of recommended of 15t Round of Funding totaled $450,000 As all applications proposed were deemed worthwhile and valuable projects or programs, the RFP TEAM requested that the JOB review the FUNDING AMOUNTS and if possible,funds consider a 2nd Round of Funding after conferring with Mark McCauley at the County. The JOB met on September 22, 2021 and reviewed the 148&149 Fund balances with Interim County Administrator Mark McCauley,and the JOB approved the entire slate of grant applications in the amount of$529,388. This was done with the understanding that even with these addition grants awards over 10%of a reserve will still reside in each fund.
