IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Old Hadlock Road, County Road No. 527109, from M.P.
0.58 to M.P.0.82, be improved as follows:
This Resolution updates Resolution No. 49-14.
To improve pedestrian and non-motorized traffic operations,the intersection of Old Hadlock
Road, Pomwell Road, and Chimacum Road will be reconfigured. Old Hadlock Road will be
realigned to a 90-degree intersection with Chimacum Road. A new segment of the Rick
Tollefson Memorial Trail will be built along the west side of Chimacum Road and a pedestrian
crossing will be installed across Chimacum Road leading to the Bob Bates Ball Fields.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and
based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown:

with R.C.W. 36.81.130.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that:
X The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq.
The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065
and W.A.C. 136.18.

Subject: Resolution to add a county project to the 2021 Annual
Construction Program;
Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail - Ball Field Connection project
County Project Number 1801956, County Road No. 527109
Statement of Issue: Update of Resolution 49-14 adopted on November 17, 2014.
Inclusion of the Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail - Ball Field Connection project, County
Road Project Number 1801956 in the 2021 Annual Construction Program.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This project will improve motorized, non-
motorized, and pedestrian traffic operations by reconfiguring the intersection of Old
Hadlock Road, Pomwell Road, and Chimacum Road. Old Hadlock Road will be
realigned to a 90 degree intersection with Chimacum Road. A new segment of the
Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail will be built along the west side of Chimacum Road and
a pedestrian crossing will be installed across Chimacum Road leading to the Bob Bates
Ball Fields.
The Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail-Ball Field Connection project is included in the
adopted 2022-2027 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The total estimated cost for the project is
$310,559 and will be funded through the Jefferson County Road Fund.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends the Board adopt this resolution and add
the Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail - Ball Field Connection project to the 2021 Annual
Road Construction Program.
