NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing is scheduled by the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners for MONDAY, December 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers,
County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 (NOTE: No In-Person
Attendance Allowed (Per Jefferson County RESOLUTION No. 45-21)), and said notice of said
hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any
interested person may appear virtually and be heard for or against the resolutions. To view documents,

A public hearing will be held for the purpose of taking written and oral testimony regarding an
interim ordinance which repeals and replaces Interim Ordinance No. 10-1221-20, An Ordinance
Adoption Interim Zoning Regulations for the Siting, Establishment, and Operation of Temporary
Homeless facilities in Unincorporated Areas of Jefferson County, which expi res December 20, 2021.
The new interim ordinance continues the interim control and adds a 6-month work plan extension
ending June 20, 2022. The extension provides for additional public outreach, public input, and
subject matter research.
In addition, written testimony is also invited beginning on November 24, 2021 and ending on
December 13, 2021 at the end of the Public Hearing, unless extended by the Board of County
Commissioners. Written public testimony may be submitted by Email to:

1220, Port Townsend, WA 98368. Testimony must be received by the Board of County
Commissioners by the end of the hearing public comment period.
