SUBJECT: Amendment to the Hadlock License and Use Agreement for Jeffcom
On October 26, 2015 the Board of County Commissioners approved a new Hadlock License
and Use Agreement for Jeffcom for years 2016 through 2018. The agreement automatically
extended for three more years as neither party elected to terminate the agreement. The
agreement then expires on December 31, 2021.
ANALYSIS:
Staff has discussed the expiring agreement with Stacie Huibregtse, Jeffcom Executive Director and
Art Frank, Chair of the Jeffcom Admin Board and both agree with extending the agreement for another
three years.
An agreement amendment has been prepared for Board consideration, which is attached. The
amendment changes the term of the agreement only. All other agreement language remains
unchanged.
FISCAL IMPACT: Jeffcom pays rent for the space they occupy about 75% of which covers
ordinary maintenance and utilities with the remaining 25% or so going towards capital
improvements/maintenance.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the agreement amendment, attached, extending the term of the agreement through
December 31, 2024.

AMENDMENT TO THE HADLOCK LICENSE AND USE AGREEMENT FOR JEFFCOM
This Hadlock License and Use Agreement for Jeffcom Amendment ("Amendment") is by and
between Jefferson County, a Washington political subdivision ("Licensor") and Jeffcom,
("Licensee").
WHEREAS, on October 26, 2015, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners approved
a Hadlock License and Use Agreement for Jeffcom for the years 2016, 2017 and 2018; and
WHEREAS, the agreement automatically extended for an additional three years as neither
party elected to terminate the agreement, and
WHEREAS. The agreement expires on December 31, 2021: and
WHEREAS, Jeffcom desires to continue using the space provided in the agreement, and
WHEREAS, the County desires m continue hosting Jeffcom in the space provided in the
agreement -
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree to amend the agreement as follows:
Paragraph 2., which now reads:
Term., The term of this License and Use Agreement shall be January 1 2016 through
December 31, 2018. I f neither party terminates this agreement then this agreement shall
continue for an additional three calendar years.
is amended to read:
Term: The term of this License and Use Agreement shall be January 1 2016 through
December 31, 2024. I f neither party terminates this agreement then this agreement shall
continue for an additional six calendar years.
