I? .?° 'al JEFFERSON COUNTY STATE OF WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING } RESOLUTION NO. 88 21 DATES IN 2022-2023 FOR THE } 2022 MID-BIENNIUM REVIEW AND } MODIFICATION AND 2024-2025 } BIENNIAL BUDGET SUBMISSIONS, REVIEW} HEARINGS AND FINAL ADOPTION } Z1 WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.071, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has selected the alternate date of the first Monday in December to hold budget hearings for the purpose of adopting the Jefferson County 2022 Mid-Biennium Review and Modification and the Biennial Budget for 2024 and 2025; and WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.071, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has also elected to set other dates relating to the budget process, including but not limited to the dates set in RCW 36.40.010 and RCW 36.40.050 to conform to the alternate date for the budget hearings; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.010, the Jefferson County Auditor shall notify, in writing, each elected or appointed County official to file with her on or before the 6th day of September 2022, an estimated budget for 2023; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.050, the Jefferson County Auditor shall submit the Mid-Biennium Review and Modification to the County Administrator by September 30, 2023; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.070 and RCW 36.40.071 the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public budget hearing on December 5, 2022, the first Monday in December, that said hearing may be continued from day to day until concluded but not to exceed a total of five (5) business days, and that the Jefferson County Mid-Biennium Review and Modification for 2023 shall be deliberated upon and adopted thereafter. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.010, the Jefferson County Auditor shall notify, in writing, each elected or appointed County official to file with her on or before the 5th day of September 2023, an estimated budget for the ensuing two years; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.050, the Jefferson County Auditor shall submit the biennial budget to the County Administrator by September 29, 2023; and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that pursuant to RCW 36.40.070 and RCW 36.40.071 the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public budget hearing on December 4, 2023, the first Monday in December, that said hearing may be continued from day to day until concluded but not to exceed a total of five (5) business days, and that the Jefferson County Biennial Budget for 2024 and 2025 shall be deliberated upon and adopted thereafter. The second quarter supplemental appropriations will now be presented to the Board of County Commissioners Tuesday, June 21, 2022 and June 20, 2023 The schedule, for the 2022-2023 Mid-Biennium Review and the 2024-2025 Biennial Budget adoption processes is attached with Resolution 88-21.
