QUESTIONS ABOUT WETLANDS FOR USES AND BUILDING
Applicant would want one yurt and one small cabin (~24 x 24 sf) with livestock and herbs - wants to
homestead.
Check in with EH, re: cistern/catchment, growing plants over the septic system, composting toilets. Let
him know that water currently flowing to the wetland must continue post construction.
Asked about restrictions: he wants about a dozen chickens, 3-4 goats, and 2 hogs. On RR1:5, he can
have livestock but cannot be a nuisance.
Yurt must be hard-sided and engineered for county to approve.
All COMs run with the property, not the property owner.
Would need to get an approval to remove a tree from wetland buffer - DCD review required.
Building permits good for one year and can renew up to five years.
