Purpose of meeting: Updates about programs/action plan, review Coalition Assessment Tool

Introductions of all members
3:35 Quick updates about programs:
Guiding Good Choices- discussed how to host it in the Spring, adding food and doing it in
person if at all possible (outdoors?)
Still distributing Community Survey, we have 90 responses so far
Action plan was approved by DBHR
Screen shared the pdf and reviewed each program:
• Alcohol Literacy Challenge
• Discussed Student assistance professional for help implementing ALC with Brett, will
connect with how to implement this education
• Project SUCCESS
• Teachers/Staff substance abuse training
• Positive Social Norms
• Drug Take Back- can we add boxes at PTHS or JCPH?
• Starts with One
• Policy Development
• Prevention Coalition meetings
• Prevention coalition trainings
• Nurse Family Partnership

Talked about CAT:
Without a lot of results, and an unaggregated data base we don’t always get a huge
impression from the data
But anecdotally the thing that is clear, both this year and last is the desire to make room for
youth representation which we can do through hiring the ‘prevention peer’ positions
Discussed how to improve outreach, with the challenge in getting permission for the school
district for email and text chain outreach
Ideas:
Based on our past meeting with school board member Doug Ross, we can continue those
conversations to see if he can help us get more access to outreach (non Facebook)
Use Principal’s newsletter for survey and outreach
Using email and text chain from schools
Asking Kiley Gard for help with outreach with program recruitment
Discussed holding next meeting: Tuesday December 22nd 3:30-4:30pm, will try to do
something holiday oriented and fun to celebrate the end of 2020
