Next activity will be developing shelter boxes (supplies for 6 weeks + a tent that should sustain for a year)  ETC Chimacum Drug Take Back event at QFC in Hadlock 4/24 10am-2pm  SAP program, 7th grader Project SUCCESS prevention education is in progress and going well!  Discussed mentorship programs in community; Building Futures- contact Dana Nixon Updates on coalition programs:  Guiding Good Choices- two more sessions left for March series, then April series will be hosted every Thursday evening from 6-8pm with new materials from CoMotion at the UW.  DBHR Fellowship- Alexis will be joining the coalition from April 12-June 30, we are excited to welcome her and work together on planning/programming. Discussed hosting a meet and greet April 13 at 3pm to welcome Alexis to the team.  Vaping prevention education- Quilcene/Brinnon May 2021, PT and Chimacum dates likely to be pushed until next school year.  Drug Take Back promotion April 2021- rather than doing an in-person event in PT we will see if promoting the MED project mail back program is an effective tool for removing unused/unwanted prescription drugs from the community. Stay tuned for social media posts/newspaper ads coming the last week of April.  Update on positive social norms campaign/intern- still working on hiring paperwork for one intern at 14 hours per week.  Sharps container at fairgrounds- Greg, Denise, and Lindsay have been collaborating to figure out how to fund sharps removal from the fairgrounds. We hope to use some of the coalition’s funds from State Opioid Response (SOR) to fund this critical service and are waiting to receive approval from DBHR.  Denise’s NEAR (Neurobiology, Epigenetics, ACEs, and Resilience) science training certification- Denise will be certified at the end of May to provide NEAR science trainings to the community.  PTHS Phase 3 changes- PTSD continues with the hybrid in-person/virtual model for the time being, lots of changes will be coming up in regards to scheduling/clubs/sports, as well as with a new superintendent starting over the summer. 4:30 Close meeting Next meeting: Tuesday April 27th 3:30-4:30pm- Action planning for 2021-2022 Lindsay Scalf Pronouns: she/her Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative Coordinator Jefferson County Public Health
