Chair Melancon called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. Members Lundgren, Gordon, Bence, and Martine
participated in the meeting remotely. Member McCauley joined later in the meeting.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Member Gordon moved to approve the Special Meeting Minutes of November 4, 2021 as presented.
Member Martine seconded the motion. The motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session was scheduled from 10:35 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. Chair Melancon announced that the
Executive Session will be held from 10:35 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. with the Risk Manager, Chief Civil Deputy
Prosecuting Attorney, Public Health Director, Superior Court Clerk, Safety Officer, Interim Risk
Coordinator, Incoming Risk Coordinator, and Claims Coordinator re: Potential Litigation under exemption
RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) as outlined in the Open Public Meetings Act. The Committee resumed the regular
meeting at 10:56 a.m. Chair Melancon announced that the Committee will be extending the Executive
Session from 10:55 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. The Committee concluded the Executive Session and resumed the
regular meeting at 11:07 a.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session was scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. Chair Melancon announced that the
Executive Session will be held from 11:07 a.m. to 11:17 a.m. with the Risk Manager, Chief Civil Deputy
Prosecuting Attorney, Public Health Director, Superior Court Clerk, Safety Officer, Interim Risk
Coordinator, Incoming Risk Coordinator, and Claims Coordinator re: Actual Litigation under exemption
RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) as outlined in the Open Public Meetings Act. The Committee resumed the regular
meeting at 11:17 a.m.

The Committee discussed and approved or denied the following claims:
• #C-04-21; Robyn Mitton; Voyeurism: No action. 60 days has lapsed.
• #C-08-21; Linda (Addy) Thornton; Covid Vaccine Mandate: No action.
• Claims; Jefferson County Tender of Wilson Claim: No action. May be discussed at a future meeting.
• #C-07-21; Sharon Basket; Fallen Tree: Action: Member Gordon moved to pay claim for Sharon
Basket for damage to shed from tree falling from County Right of Way, upon delivery of receipts of
repairs. Member McCauley seconded the motion. The motion carried.
• Claim; Unfiled Frantz vs Dr. Allison Berry: No action. Not filed as a claim
OLD BUSINESS: Not discussed.
NEW BUSINESS: Not discussed.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Member Gordon moved to adjourn the meeting at 11:22 a.m. until the
next Regular Meeting or Special Meeting as properly noticed. Member McCauley seconded the motion the
motion carried.
