This Change Order No. 1 would modify the existing contract to include County pavement marking in 2022. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: Pavement markings require annual refurbishing and/or replacement. To attain improved economy for this work, all project materials will be obtained and supplied by Public Works. This one-year contract extension is for labor and equipment only. The pavement marking program is consistent with County goals in that it provides for preservation of traffic control infrastructure on Jefferson County roads. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: Maintenance of pavement markings is accounted for in the Public Works Road Operations Budget for year 2022. The original 2019-2021, 3-year contract total was $402,330. The same competitively bid rates for 2021 will be used again for 2022. The total estimated amount to provide pavement marking labor and equipment in 2022 is $144,220. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order No. 1 and return two signed originals to Public Works for further processing.
