The fund was required in conjunction with the creation of Road Improvement District No. 4 and the sale of bonds to finance related road improvements. Five thousand($5,000)was deposited into the fund upon its creation. ANALYSIS: RCW 35.54.095 authorizes the transfer funds of this nature to the General Fund, by ordinance, once the County Treasurer certifies there is no longer a need for these funds to help service the related debt. The County Treasurer, Stacie Prada, has so certified—please see the attached memo. The attached proposed ordinance directs the inactivation of Fund 202—Road Improvement Bonds and Fund 602-000-010—Road Improvement Guaranty Fund and directs that the cash in these funds be transferred to the General Fund. A public hearing notice announcing the county's intent to consider the proposed ordinance is also attached. FISCAL IMPACT: This request has no fiscal impact. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached public hearing notice announcing its intent to consider an ordinance inactivating Fund 602-000-010—Road Improvement Guaranty Fund.
