Candace Drollinger is,a Senior Legal Assistant who is working within the kfferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office; and B. Candace Drollinger is represented by UFCW 21 pursuant to RCW 41.56; and C. Jefferson County and UFCW 21 have entered into a Collective Bargaining Agreement CBA); and D. UFCW 21 has filed a grievance on behalf of Candace Drollinger including, but not limited to a claim of violating the CBA, Article 13.4 Position Evaluations, and Article 13.5 Career Lander, and E. The parties have discussed the issues and wish to resolve all issues related to or arising from the facts in this matter. TITEREFORE 1T 1S AGREED: I . This 304MMA resolves at] issues and claims arising from the facts associated with Candace Drollinger's assignment as a Senior Legal Assistant. 2. All parties agree that there are no recognized valid claims or cross claims in the settlement of all issues be *y filed or not in the referenced grievance or filed or not with any other party. This settlement is without prudence, or evidentiary and/or citation value for any other claim by any party inany forum 3. Each party ages it is in their best interest to settle all possible claims by Candace Drollinger be they under the CBA County policy or dither authority rather than incur protracted and distractingprocesses to establish and enforce their relative position. The recognition ofthe value ofsettlement, with other good and valued consideration including payments to Candace Drollinger herein, is acknowledged by each party as forming ample consideration for binding each of the parties to this agreement. All parties agree that the County will create a position titled "Paralegal" at pay Grade 28 which wilt be added to Appendix B — Classifications, in the next adopted CBA. The County will prepare ajob description for the position titled "Paralegal." Memorandum of Settlement — Drollinger, by and between Jefferson County and UFCW 21Page2of2 S. Effective May 1, 2017, Candace Drollinger will be promoted to the position of Paralegal, at Grade 28, Step 5. Candace Drollinger will receive retro pay back to May 1, 2016 at Grade 28, Step 4. 6. T'he payment and promotion constitute full, final and complete satisfaction of all known and unknown claims arising from her assignments and her activities as a Senior Legal Assistant from the beginning of such assignment through the date Candace Drollinger signs below. 7. T'he parties agree this settlement in its entirety shall be confidential and that the terms shall not be disclosed by any party except as maybe required for enforcement, by law or court order. Each party shalt simply state "all issues regarding Candace Drollinger's concerns have been resolved" upon any inquiry into the matter. Should a party be required to disclose they will notify all ether parties within 72 hours oftheir duty to disclose.
