Dear Jefferson County Board of Health;
Two thought clouds:
1) It has come to my attention that the Washington State Parks Commission is planning a
risky and potential superspreader event at bit.ly/WAParksCm220126 for 26-27 January. At
a time when no government is having a public meeting, it would behoove the County Board
of Health to push back against this. It looks like we could have a lot of people gathering
and speaking in your county as a government function when Zoom is still readily available.
I call upon the Board to ask the Parks Commission to go virtual to help reduce the spread.
Otherwise the pressure to go to in-person meetings for your county government will go up,
up and up before you are ready. Thank you.
2) On another matter as an open government advocate: It is hard to comment on a
meeting when we only see an agenda. What is being discussed under V. 4. "Public
comment protocols"? Got my attention. Be wonderful to have an agenda packet please to
give substantive comments.
I will say very clearly that I want it clear the personal attacks on Dr. Allison Berry need to
cease. Please.
