In the matter of providing a Loan}
to the Jefferson County Housing}
Authority (JCHA) From the General}
Fund creating a match for a Grant}
RESOLUTION NO. 23-00
-
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA) is an authorized
agency of Jefferson County, established by Resolution 25-92, providing housing for low income
citizens of Jefferson County, and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA) has the opportunity
to apply for a grant to enhance the housing capacity within the county if matching funds are
secured, and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA.) Board of Directors
has signed an Interlocal Agreement Stipulating terms and conditions of a loan and interest; and,
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA) will reimburse the
Jefferson County General Fund for funds to provide a match for the Grant,
NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED by the Board of County Commissioners
that they find and declare the housing needs of low income citizens within the County requires
this Board proceed in manner and form as herein determined, and that the sum of $30,000.00 be
loaned to the Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA.) from the General Fund.
BE IT FINALLY RESOL VED that the loan will be repaid in one (1) year with
interest of 5.70% per annum and repayment shall be made in the amount of $31,710,00 on the
2Q!h of March 2001. The Jefferson County Treasurer shall direct payment form current expense to
JCHA. effective~arch 20, 2000.
