In the Matter of Re-Assigning
Authority for Various County
Policies

RESOLUTION NO, 36-00
WHEREAS, on September 27, 1999 the Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No.
82-99 changing the organization structure of the Board directed County Departments and Resolution No.
79-99 establishing ground rules to support the establishment of this new position; and,
WHEREAS, this re-organization was implemented to improve efficiency and
effectiveness of the administrative and executive functions in these Board directed departments by
delegating day to day management responsibilities to the County Administrator; and,
WHEREAS, several policies that are currently administered by the Board of
Commissioners shall have their administration transferred to the County Administrator.
NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, that the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners that the County Administrator or designee will be responsible for the administration and
authorization required by the following policies:

Providing for the regulation of assemblies; defining the factors and
conditions pertaining thereto; setting forth a procedure for the issuance of
a permit. (Special Events Permits)
Sick Leave Bank for Use by County Employees with a Life Threatening
Illness or Major Medical Crisis
Authorizing the Agreement Between Jefferson County and the Jefferson
County Veterans' Service Officers Association for the Disbursement of
Funds from the Jefferson County Veterans Assistance Fund (Veterans
Assistance Fund Applications)
Policy for Issuance and Use of Business Credit Cards by Employees of
Jefferson County
Policy for Consideration of Fee Waiver Requests Associated with County
Ordinances
Jefferson County Risk Management Policy (Claims)
