RESOLUTION NO.
44-00
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Youth Initiative Pilot Project -- YIPPEE Program has
requested the establishment of a Petty Cash Account in the amount of $200.00 for cash
transactions for refreshments and craft supplies to be used for the after school or summer
program; and
WHEREAS, the YIPPEE Program Fund was established by Resolution No. 8-00 and
assigned fund # 113-000-010; and
WHEREAS, the YIPPEE Program Coordinator has found that it would be in the best
interest of the County, to ensure compliance with the Cash Handling Policy and provide
increased internal control.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the YIPPEE Program be granted a Petty
Cash Account in the amount of $200.00 and the County Treasurer be authorized to issue a
Treasurer's check in the amount of $200.00 payable to the Jefferson County YIPPEE Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Petty Cash Account shall be used only by
authorized users, and the Account shall be balanced and replenished as needed and following
the procedll~es outlined by the Cash Handling Policy.

Establishment of Petty Cash Drawer
We would like to request a $200 Petty Cash to be established for use by the YIPPEE
program. These funds would be used to purchase refreshments and craft supplies
that are currently being purchased by staff who in turn seek reimbursement.
