Rowe, RE., Public Works Director/County Engineer MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: Board of County Commissioners ~ '~ Gary Rowe, Public Works Director / County Engineer .NJ(~ fÇ 0-' May 2, 2000 Engineer's Report on Request to Vacate a Portion of Alder Street, Plat of Harrisburg Aron Taylor & Jennifer Sharko- Taylor, Petitioner In accordance with Ch 36.87 RCW, I have examined the platted right of way, described as follows: That portion of platted Alder Street being approximately 50 feet in width and 100 feet in length adjoining Lot 12 of Block 8 and adjoining Lot 7 of Block 9 located within the Supplemental Plat ofthe Town of Harrisburg located at Page 21, Volume 1 of Plats, Section 2, Township 29 North, Range 1 West, records of Jefferson County, Washington. and as petitioned by Aron Taylor & Jennifer Sharko-Taylor for statutory vacation, and herewith submit the following report thereon: 1. 2. 3. The streets were platted on May 30, 1883 in the Supplemental Plat of the Town of Harrisburg and therefore is vacated under the Road Vacation Ordinance No. 07-0809-99. There were no roads constructed within this right of way within five (5) years of the date of platting. The public will benefit by returning the property being vacated to the tax rolls, by enhancement of the development potential of the property, and by increasing the taxable value of the property once the vacation is completed. Therefore, for the reasons stated above, it is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve this vacation request. 100% Recycled Paper .~I:::1 ;:: ~I~I~ :1:.:1;:: :.¡ 1~1::; C .LL ST, ,.,-..- -,---- 146 ~ iB ! .3 TA) 16Z 42 61E "7 26 2' 25 ",,-- "--" ~ .A!:;!~ S ,~ 7 8 19110 7 1\1 4 '3 .-;.
