","'- -' e STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the matter of } } } } RESOLUTION NO. 56-00 Restricting Parking on Certain County-Owned Public Property WHEREAS, Jefferson County is the owner of property identified as Parcel Number 901024096 in the records of the Jefferson County Assessor located in Port Hadlock and bounded by Old Hadlock Road, Chimacum Road and adjacent to Lawn Street; and, WHEREAS, the above described property was developed to provide parking for commuters and travelers making connections with other transportation systems; and, WHEREAS, several vehicles have been parked on the lot for extended periods of time for the sole purpose of offering said vehicles for sale; and, WHEREAS, Ch. 46.55 RCW pròvides for the towing and impounding of vehicles not authorized to be parked on publicly owned property provided there pre-exists proper posting of said property and signed authorization fi.-om a law enforcement officer or public official with jurisdiction; and, WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Public Works Department maintains and operates the above described parking lot on behalf of Jefferson County. NOW, THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, That the Director of Public Works, or his designee, is granted and hereby holds jurisdiction to order the removal of unauthorized vehicles fi.-om the above described parking lot; and, That the parking lot shall be properly posted in accordance with Ch. 46.55 with the following provisions: 1. No person shall leave a vehicle at this lot for the purposes of making known to the public that it is for sale. 2. A person shall be permitted to park their vehicle for up to 48 hours without obtaining a permit fi.-om the Jefferson County Public Works Department. r, , ,'" / "'-,d""," ,,'- .. A person shall be permitted to park their vehicle for more than 48 hours ifthe vehicle owner obtains a permit from the Jefferson County Public Works Department. 4. Any vehicle found to be in violation of the above listed rules is subject to towing without notice to the owner of record of that vehicle. The owner of record of any towed vehicle will be fully responsible for any towing and storage costs incurred as a result ofthe towing.
