In the Matter of Adopting the Limiting
Factor for the Jefferson County Road Levy
RESOLUTION NO 9.9"..0.0
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County has met and
considered its budget for the calendar year 2001; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in the course of considering the
budget for 2001 has reviewed all sources of revenue and examined all anticipated expenses and
obligations; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that, due to
increased service demands for County Roads and regulation requirements for Public Safety, the
Board of County Commissioners finds that there is a substantial need to increase the regular
County Road property tax limit factor above the rate of inflation.
NOW; THEREFORE} BE IT RESOL VED} by the Board of County Commissioners
of Jefferson County that the limit factor for the County Road levy for the calendar year 2001
shall be 106 percent of the highest amount of regular property taxes that could have been
lawfully leVledinthi: ~~ing,diStrict in any yearsince 198~jJ .
