HomeMy WebLinkAbout007 99 CC'. ~ ~ ìJd.-Loh~ // JEFFERSON COUNTY STATE OF WASHINGTON Postponing the Effective Date for Implementing the District Court Judge as a Full Time Position } } } RESOLUTION NO> ]-99 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 50-98 adopted June 22, 1998 established the salary of the District Court Judge for Jefferson County to be 100% of the salary set by the Washington Citizens Commission on Salaries for Elected Officials, to be effective January 1, 1999; and, WHEREAS, Ch. 3.34.040 RCW provides that District Court judges receiving a salary equal to 100% of the salary set by the Salary Commission shall be deemed full time and shall devote all of their time to the office and shall not engage in the practice of law; and WHEREAS, Mark Huth was elected to the office of District Court Judge for Jefferson County and took office January 1, 1999; and WHEREAS, Mark Ruth has requested that the effective date of Resolution No. 50-98 be delayed for three months to allow him to conclude his private law practice. NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOL VED, by the Board of County Commissioners, that the effective date of Resolution No. 50-98 be revised to April 1, 1999 and that the salary remain at the level of the position in 1998 until that time.
