RESOLUTION No. 10-99
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department was originally created by the
Board of County Commissioners by Resolution No. 45-71, and reorganized by
Resolution 111-93 to combine the County Engineer duties and the Public Works Director
duties in one position which reports directly to the Board; and
WHEREAS, the vacancy occurred in the office of the Director of Public
Works/County Engineer due to resignation; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners shall designate
an acting county road engineer for an interim period, not to exceed six months, pursuant
to WAC 136-12-030.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners, that FRANK GIFFORD is hereby appointed to serve as interim Public
Works Director/County Engineer for Jefferson County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED, that during the interim period, Bob Turpin,
PE, of the Public Works Department, will perform all engineering services as required by
Chapter 18.43RCW.
