HomeMy WebLinkAbout018 99 (Ie ~ r Uu"t/fl-1 ro- a,,;;¿, 4 ~ 11 STATE OF WASHINGTON County of Jefferson IN THE MATTER OF A RESOLUTION } extending the Jefferson County Interim Emergency} Controls Ordinance (EICO) for a period of 6 months} per Chapter 36.70.790 and Chapter 36.70A.390 } Revised Code of Washington } Resolution No. 18",,99 The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners enter the following findings: 1. On August 28, 1998 the BOCC adopted Ordinance No. 06-0828-98 establishing the Jefferson County Emergency Interim Official Controls Ordinance (EICO) regulating land uses, densities and scale of intensity throughout the unincorporated lands of Jefferson County. 2. The intent of this ordinance is to serve as an interim measure allowing development to occur consistent with the County's Comprehensive Plan until such time as the Board of County Commissioners adopts final development regulations. 3. The Jefferson County Planning Commission is currently reviewing and amending existing development regulations to bring these regulations into compliance with the adopted Comprehensive Plan. 4. The Board of County Commissioners have instructed the Planning Commission to expedite its review of County land use regulations and to recommend final development regulations for BOCC consideration in a timely manner. 5. The Board of County Commissioners finds that the EICO has served as intended by permitting development to occur throughout the County consistent with the goals and policies contained in the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County, Washington, as follows: 2.0 1.0 The Board extends the term of the Jefferson County Emergency Interim Controls Ordinance (EICO), No. 06-0828-98 for a period of six (6) months.
