ACCEPTING PROPOSALS TO PROVIDE
LONG HAUL AND DISPOSAL SERVICES FOR
JEFFERSON COUNTY'S SOLID WASTE

WHEREAS, Jefferson County Board of Commissioners on July 27, 1998 called for
Request For Proposals (RFP's) for the above mentioned services, and;
WHEREAS, due notice ofthe call for bids was given as required by law, and;
WHEREAS, TWO proposals were received and opened during public session for the
week of September 28, 1998, as shown in the attached bid tabulation, and;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the people of Jefferson County to select the
most responsive ofthe TWO acceptable proposals, now therefore,
IT IS HEREB Y RESOL VED, that the best and most responsive bid was submitted by
REGIONAL DISPOSAL COMPANY, to
Provide all equipment and services necessary to long haul Jefferson County's solid waste to
Roosevelt Regional Landfill, for the price of; $25.53/ ton for regular solid waste, and
$24.00/ ton for asbestos waste, and
provide disposal services at Roosevelt Regional Landfill, and establish and maintain closure and
post-closure funds for the price of; $18.96/ ton for regular solid waste, and
$75.00/ ton for asbestos waste.
Fees are to be adjusted annually in accordance with the contract documents, and that this proposal
be accepted, and

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the specifications and contract documents in
their entirety as included in the contract package, are part of this contract acceptance.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this Rday of April. 1999.
