WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is petitioning to change the name of a
private road from E. Cascade Avenue to Lilly Lane or Lilly Road or Lilly Court as shown on
attached Exhibit nAn, pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-0401-91 and;
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name to allow for further
addressing along the road and eliminate confusion due to similar road names as required by
the Jefferson County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance and;
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are no addresses assigned on this mile post
number at this time that will be affected by the road name changing as shown on attached
Exhibit "B", and;
WHEREAS, a notice of publication, hearing and letters to interested parties have been
completed pursuant to Jefferson County 911 Ordinance Number 2-041-91 Section 4.320;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road shall be named Lilly Lane.

comments and testimony regarding a request to change the name of a private road
within your jurisdiction or which may affect your current addressing. Written
comments may be submitted prior to the hearing date and will become part of the
record. All interested parties are encouraged to attend the public hearing. Please
contact the Jefferson County Department of Public Works in writing at PO Box
2070, Port Townsend, Washington, 98368 or call (360) 385-9166 for further
information or if you have any questions.

convenience.

PROPONENT: JEFFERSON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Jefferson County
Board of Commissioners on Monday, June 7, 1999, at 2:45 p.m. in the
Commissioners' Chambers at the County Courthouse in Port Townsend,
Washington, for the purpose of taking testimony concerning renaming the end of
E. Cascade Avenue located off Kala Point Drive in Port Townsend, Washington in
Section 35, Township 30 North, Range 1 W., W.M. Any person may appear at the
public hearing and be heard. Written comments will be accepted and be made part
of the record. For further information contact the Jefferson County Department of
Public Works, (360) 385-9160. Written comments may be mailed to Jefferson
County Public Works at P.O. Box 2070, Port Townsend, WA 98368. '
