IN THE MATTER OF }
ACCEPTING BID FOR CONSTRUCTING }
OLD GARDINER ROAD EMERGENCY RESTORATION}
COUNTY ROAD PROJECT, XOl285 }
RESOLUTION NO. 85'0:99
WHEREAS, Jefferson County Board of Commissioners on August 23, 1999 called
for bids for the above mentioned project, and;
WHEREAS, due notice of the call for bids was given as required by law, and;
WHEREAS, seven bids were received and opened during public session for the week
of September 20, 1999, as shown in the attached bid tabulation, and;
WHEREAs, it is in the best interest of the people of Jefferson County to select the
most responsive of the seven acceptable bids, now therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the best and most responsive bid was submitted by
Mowat Construction Company, for a total bid amount of $1,213,311.80 and that this bid be
accepted and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the specifications and contract documents in
their entirety as included in the bid package, are part of this bid acceptance.
