In the Matter of Accruing Interest
Revenue from Specific Funds to the
County General Fund

RESOLUTION NO. q 5 - c¡ c¡
WHEREAS, RCW 43,09.210 directs that "Separate accounts shall be kept for each
department, public improvement, undertaking, institution, and public service industry under the
jurisdiction of every taxing body;"and,
WHEREAS, the State Auditor's interpretation of this RCW means that any fund not
wholly or partially funded by Current Expense is to be tracked independently; and,
WHEREAS, funds receiving Current Expense funding, under the jurisdiction of the Board
of Commissioners will be invested with Treasurer's Cash and interest will accrue to the County General
Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the County Road Fund is to be invested and tracked separately and by
authority of the Board of Commissioners, the interest may be transferred to the General Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners that the following funds will be invested as Treasurer's Cash with interest accruing to
the County General Fund:
