In the Matter of Establishment
of a Fund to be Known as the
Special Projects Fund

RESOLUTION NO. 98-99
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has established objectives to fund
necessary special projects which by their unique nature do not correspond to the parameters
outlined for any of the currently established funds; and,
WHEREAS, these special projects, that may include but are not limited to, the
Cotton Log Dump Property Acquisition, the Gateway Visitor Center, and the Glen Cove/Tri
Area sub-area plan, will receive funding from grants and through inter-fund transfers; and,
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Commissioners that it is necessary to
establish a County Special Projects Fund to meet the needs of unique project proposals.
NOw, THEREFORE BE IT RESOL VED, that the Board of Commissioners of
Jefferson County have detennined that it is in the best interest of Jefferson County that such a
fund be established to be known as the Special Project Fund with the account munber 177-000-
010; and,
BE IT FINALL Y RESOL VED, that the JEFFERSON COUNTY SPECIAL
PROJECTS ~~D reserves shall be invested by the County Treasurer and interest shall be
earned fortlie -benefit ofthe Special Projects Fund.
