RE: JUMP-Landscape and Civil Additional Services Fee Request
Dear Anna,
We are grateful for the opportunity to work on JUMP, it will be a magical playground and a wonderful
place for the kids and community . As design and construction of JUMP is moving forward, we are proud
of the work that has been done so far and look forward to seeing the JUMP playground completed.
Since the project onset, we have done our very best to provide excellent design and client services within
budget. Upon review of our original proposal, we have completed additional design tasks that were not
originally in our scope. These are the tasks:
• Incorporation of Phase 2 of the playground into one single phase
• Late substantial addition/changes to the design after 90% design had been completed
• Additional civil design as a result of the above changes
• Assistance with procurement of play equipment
• Assistance with specification development
Total additional design services fee request is $19,750.
We hope this request is amenable to Jefferson County Public Works, please let me know if you would like
additional information from us.
Kind Regards,
Wit„ Orw,,

Project: Jefferson County Parks
JUMP! Playground
Stormwater Permit Application—Phase 1 and 2(ASA#1)
Thank you for the opportunity to provide this additional services proposal(ASA#1),which is an
amendment to our original Proposal for Civil Engineering Services dated March 1,2021. We look
forward to continuing work with you on this project. This proposal is to confirm our understanding of the
additional scope of services and compensation.
Description and Scope of Additional Services
LPD Engineering is continuing the civil design for the phase 1 site improvements associated with the
development of a new accessible, inclusive playground on the site of HJ Carroll Park for Jefferson
County Parks. Our original proposal only included the improvements for the first phase of the project
(Phase 1). In order to streamline the drainage review process, the Owner is now requesting that the phase
2 work be added to the permit and construction documents for the project(Phase 1 and 2).
Due to this,LPD is requesting additional services to update the existing Phase 1 civil drainage plans and
documents and incorporate drainage improvements and requirements necessary for the Phase 2 scope.
LPD will review the County comments provided by Nakano Associates related to the previously
submitted drainage plans(Stormwater Permit Application), and update and expand upon the existing
plans and associated documents to reflect both project phases.
