Do not openattachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Greetings, I am a fully vaccinated & boosted individual who works as a server in a restaurant in Jefferson County. Every day that I work, I am forced to contend with the demeaning andbelittling requirement that I cover my face in a rather small room full of people who do not have to do so. Am I, as a worker, of a lower social stratum that predisposes me to a greater likelihood of being a disease vector? What magic do you think resides in a restaurant's tables that wouldsuddenly make it allowable for me to remove my mask if I were to sit down and become a customer? I have been a supporter and follower of public health guidelines throughout the pandemic. Now, however, we are faced with mandates that are no longer based on sound logic or reason. Who, exactly, do you think the restaurant worker mask mandate is protecting? The unvaccinated? Well, they're not allowed in. The vaccinated? Well, they're vaccinated. I call upon you to cease with alarmest, unscientific, disrespectful, illogical and anachronistic requirements for businesses that have been among the hardest hit throughout this mess. Thevirus is endemic. Vaccines are widely available. It is time to acknowledge reality and allow restaurant workers to reclaim our dignity. We are no less human and no more disease pronethan those who choose to dine in our establishments. Sincerely, Andrew Wohlsen
