SUBJECT: DISCUSSION re: Legislative Priorities and Update
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
County departments track and advocate for various bills in the Legislature. With the house of origin cut-off
in the Legislature on February 15th,there is now a smaller number of bills for consideration. The BOCC
invites participation of the elected officials and Department Directors for a discussion of legislative priorities
and updates on the legislative session thus far.
ANALYSIS:
It is beneficial for County departments to be familiar with and understand the legislative and funding
priorities of other departments so that the County can work in unison to advance interests.
FISCAL IMPACT:
none
RECOMMENDATION:
That elected officials and Department Directors who have legislative priorities join the BOCC prepared to
talk about key bills and issues in the 2022 Legislative Session.
