STATE OF WASHINGTON County of Jefferson In the Matter of Finding and Determination to } 07 22 Declare Certain Personal Property as Surplus } RESOLUTION NO. And Authorize Trade -In } WHEREAS, certain assets belonging to Jefferson County have been identified as no longer required for County purposes because they are in -need of replacement; and WHEREAS, notice of intention to sell this surplus County property is not required per RCW 36.34.020 because the total value of each item is less than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners hereby declares the equipment on the attached list to be surplus and authorizes the Sheriff's Office to trade in listed items. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners hereby directs the Jefferson County Auditor to remove the equipment on the attached list from the Jefferson County Equipment Inventory. The items are proposed for surplus to allow for trade-in. ANALYSIS: The Sheriff's Office follows purchasing requirements and would like to trade these items for new equipment. Items are valued at less than $1,000 per piece. As the value of each item is less than $2,500.00, surplus requires no public notice.
