From what I can see from the file there was an EES done in Oct. 2003 by Envirocheck
It must have determined the tank was leaking.
You sent a letter on 10/16/03 that states the following" Recently an EES was done for your property referenced
above. During, that evaluation it was noted that your septic tank is no longer watertight as the liquid level is one
foot below the outlet pipe. This allows sewage to leak out bypassing the drainfield.
This is considered a failure of your septic tank. As a result you must replace or repair the tank. Should a new tank
be required you would need to apply for a tank only permit. Etc etc etc
Last paragraph state: "You should also be aware that our records indicate a 2 -bedroom home and a one
bedroom septic system. "This violates your septic permit and as a result no further building activity will be
approved by this department until both the above items are resolved.

On 10/28/03 you received a letter from Donna Longwell replying to your letter you will have to come and look at it
(of course the letter says every thing was fixed.) You wrote on the top of this letter 10/30/03 called Donna L and
Lind Tuder @ settler. These repairs do not fix the failed leaking septic tank. Still needs to be fixed. R Marx
I faxed all of this information to Deann the daughter of the current owner- she lives in Montana. I also include the
Septic Designers list from the phone book and the well log from dept. of ecology.
Because this information has your name all over it, she will more then likely try to contact you. I suggested that
she try by e-mail seeing how she is from Montana. Her mother is old, and this daughter is trying to see how to

help her and to make sure she is not in violation and that everything is okay on her property.
This daughter is worried about the property having a complaint or being in violation. I told her it was possible that
E/H had a complaint stating the leaking tank, but she would have to talk to you to know for sure. Basically the
daughter wants to figure out...
A) get the tank fixed
B) get a new cabin for vacationing on this property

Enclosed with this letter you will find a copy of the inspection and repair invoice
regarding the above mentioned septic system. This property is due to close within the
next two weeks as a vacation cabin for a single lady from Olympia.
This is a single wide mobile with one bedroom and a very small middle room that has an
opening into the living room and is now a small sitting room/office. If you care to come
out and look at the situation, I will gladly meet you there. Thanks for your patience and
help.

Recently an Evaluation of your Existing Septic system (EES) was done for your property
referenced above. During that evaluation it was noted that your septic tank is no longer
watertight as the liquid level is one foot below the outlet pipe. This allows sewage to
leak out bypassing the drainfield.
This is considered a failure of your septic tank. As a result you must replace or repair the
tank. Should a new tank be required you would need to apply for a tank only permit
through this office.
You should also be aware that our records indicate a 2 -bedroom home and a one bedroom
septic system. This violates your septic permit and as a result no further building activity
will be approved by this department until both the above items are resolved.
