The following information is needed to continue review of your project. 1. Please have the landowner or authorized representative sign the Stormwater Calculation Worksheet (pg. 2) and Worksheet B (pg. 13) of the Medium Stormwater Packet. 2. Upon review of Jefferson County GIS maps, the proposed New Single Family Residence is located near an approximate 34% slope and in close proximity to Geological Hazardous Areas (Slight Landslide Hazard Area and Moderate Landslide Hazard Area). The County is therefore requesting that the applicant consult a geotechnical professional to conduct a geological assessment of the entire proposed project area. The geotechnical professional shall prepare a geological letter , geological report, or geotechnical report based on their findings. Please review JCC 18.22.540(4) to determine what type of geological assessment form should be submitted to Jefferson County. The report recommendations/conclusions will need to include a statement addressing all proposed development (e.g. residence, septic, stormwater) in the geological hazardous area. The applicant has the option to request a special report waiver (JCC 18.22.910). A special report waiver would be reviewed by a staff member and would involve a site visit to assess your proposed project area for existing geological hazard areas. However, the application for a waiver does not guarantee a determination that the geological hazardous areas do not exist or that an exemption from critical area protection standards will be granted. Please notify the assigned planner (Amanda Hunt) if the applicant would like to request a special report waiver. Please submit the above information to the Department of Community Development within 90 days of the date of this letter which would be 8/8/2021.
