M.O'Meara with all members present. Hearing for Shoreline Management Permit for Gerald Weidner for the construction of net shed on his dock. Letter of approval from the County Shoreland Advisory Commission. Letters of dis- approval of further expansion of commercial fishing in Mats Mats Bay, from Joseph Daniels and Myron Scott, and letter of disapproval of Weidner's expansion from Mrs . Frank Minter. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Chairman O'Meara to disapprove granting of permit due to location of net shed . Hearing for Shoreline Management Permit for DeLeo Brothers for the construction of building for storage . Letter of approval from County Shoreland Advisory Commission . Motion by Commis- sioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to approve . Unanimous by Board . Motion by Commissioner Huntingford , second by Commissioner Kelly to approve minutes of last meeting . Unanimous by Board . Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to approve and adopt Res- olution No. 45-72 , Disbursement of Federal Forest Reserve Monies, as follows . Unanimous by Board . • Mr. Ed Richie appeared re: Millage for Road Budget. States formula should be derived using five mills for county roads , instead of four + 1/2 mill for Parks and 1/2 mill for Solid Waste . Engineer Becker explained formula and figures presented from the State . Mr. Richie still claims that two mills can be cut from the county roads at no reduction in gas tax allocations . Board received copy of 'Ninety Day Progress Report' relating to variance for burning at county dumps , sent to the Olympic Air Pollution Control Authority from Engineer Becker. Auditor, Betty Temple, informed Board that all warrents must now be pre-numbered, including existing stock and voided warrents , for easier accounting of all warrents . Stated it will call for an expenditure not anticipated at this time . Board granted approval. Mr. Jack Maher, from Pope & Talbot Development, Inc. , appeared re: Application for Shorelines Management Permit to enlarge Port .L cllow Marina . Proposed to double the capacity of boat dock and fuel dock and build floats for breakwater. Stated no dredging or fill will be required for the installation of floats . Will approximately double the size of the marina which is for public use , including fishing boats . Application will be taken into consideration of the Board and also referred to the Advisory Commission for site Inspection. Board received recommendation, from Commissioners , Water District No. 1 , to appoint Mr. Arthur Barnard as Water Commissioner, Position No. 2 , to fill the vacancy caused by the resig- nation of Mr. Curtis Perry. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Chairman O'Meara to accept recommendation and appoint Mr. Barnard as Water Commissioner, Position No. 2 , Water District No. 1 , Jefferson County. Engineer Becker presented petition to abandon a portion of County Road No. 22-1 .58 received • from Olympic Area Council, Boy Scouts of America and signed by adjacent property owners , i.e. Crown Zellerbach Corp. , Earl Hughett, Robert Anderson and Olympic Area Council. Petition tabled for further investigation. 'Minutes of Nov. 27th . con't. Board received copy of notification for 1973 Federal Grant Application for the Olympic Air Pol- lution Control Authority, from the Olympic Regional Planning Council. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Chairman O'Meara to approve . Board reviewed the following correspondence without comment: Notice from the Department of Revenue that levies must be set no later than December 7 , 1972 , to avoid potential problems presented by the passage of SJR 1 and Initiative 44 . Notice of Public Hearing , from City Clerk, of rezoning of certain areas in Port Townsend . Notes on Oyster Culture Workshop, from the Department of Fisheries in Brinnon . Newsletter from Clallam-Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service . There being no further business before the Board , the meeting was adjourned.
