Meeting called to order by Chairman A.M.O'Meara with all members present. Motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Huntingford to approve minutes of last meeting. Letter from the Dept. of Natural Resources regarding Board's request to limit amount of dredge spoil to be dumped into the waters of Port Townsend due to the possible damage of natural environ- ment'. Letter states that dumping is harmful to the natural environment. Lloyd Hansen reported that county's ratio for 1972 is 43 .9 . States demand for Schools and the Department of Public Assistance for 1973 levies is $500 ,852 .00, to be divided evenly between each. Auditor, Betty Temple , reported that she had received legal advise concerning the setting of a minimum charge on tax and mineral statements . Stated there must be a statutory authority to enable the setting of minimums and we have no'such authority. Notice from the Port of Port Townsend amending their Final Budget for 1973 by dropping the levy for the General Obligation Bond Fund , which was in the amount of one tenth of a mill (. 10) . Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to accept deletion. Unani- mous by Board. Engineer Becker presented the Road Construction Program for 1973 . Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to approve and sign Program. Unanimous by Board. Treasurer, Lillian. Jacobson, presented Resolution for transfer of funds for salaries . Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to adopt and sign Resolution No. 39-72 , transfer of funds , as follows . Unanimous by Board. Auditor, Betty Temple , informed Board that county would receive first half of Revenue Sharing for 1972 , during this month of October, with bookkeeping and procedures manual, and the second half in January of 1973 . Chairman O'Meara signed letter authorizing the change in Broker-Dealer designation for County Employment Supplemental Retirement Plan, from Dougan, Eader, Reynolds & Wheller, Invest- ments , Inc. , to Falcon Financial Sere. an , Inc. (Sutliffe & Co. , Inc.) Board reviewed the following correspondence without comment. Memo from Edward Kenealy, Director, Alcoholism Section, Olympia , re: County Alcoholism Plans . Three notices from the Dept. of Revenue re: (1) Computation of 1972 Millage Rates; (2) Local Sales Tax Distribution; (3) Revenue appointments . County trust land transmittal of funds , from the Dept. of Natural Resources; $3, 111 . 79 from Schneebecks Lumber Co. , Inc. Letter from Chicago, Milwaukee , St.Paul and Pacific Railroad Company re: Instructions con- cerning winter work around railroad crossings . There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned .
