Meeting called to order by Chairman A.M.O;Meara with Commissioner Huntingford present and Commissioner Kelly'absent. Mr. Fred Hougherton appeared to attend the Board meeting . Request from Dept. of Ecology and Evergreen Environmental Dervelopment Corp. for Comprehen- sive Plan for South Toandos Penn. be approved as a Preliminary Engineering Report. Tabled • until next meeting due to Commissioner Kelly and Engineer Becker being on vacation. Also, no report from Health Dept. . Letter from G . Brian Egan regarding his property in the middle of Williams Addition . Egan holds previous opinion that if he sells roadway parcels , then he should have same amenities , rights , access , water, power, etc . on same basis of other property owners in plat. Board will check further. Request for appointment for the disability Board, from John G. Doubek, Secretary. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford to re-appoint Chairman O'Meara for a second two year term. Second, and accepted by O'Meara . Board approved and signed Call for Bids for construction of prestressed concrete bridge across Rock Creek. To be opened and read on Sept. 11th. at 10:00a .m. • Letter from Edw. J . Burns re: American Campgrounds . Board will refer letter to the Health Dept. Only regulations county can enforce at this time is Health regualtions as there are no county laws governing camper clubs . • Request for appointment of Board member to the Shorelines Committee for 43B . Tabled until next meeting. Letter from Mrs . Archie G. Porter requesting county purchase property owned by F. Pontine Hanton, at Goodfellow's Manhatton Beach tracts . Chairman O'Meara stated request will have to be denied due to insufficient funds . Request for information pertaining to all business transactions concerning Evergreen Environment- al Development Corp. , from Philip M . Best, Attriy. •for adjacent property owners . Mr. Best will be informed when information is gathered . Letter and phone call from Michael P. Lazara , Greenacres , Inc. , requesting permission to sell lots in Pleasant Tides Plat. Commissioner Huntingford suggests request be tabled until Com- missioner Kelly and Eng. Becker return, as they have done a site inspection of property in question. Letter from Planning and Community Affairs Agency re: Funding for Public Works Dept. Letter referred to Eng . Becker. IRequest from Walter L. Seth for' road vacation - Cul de sac on Forest Drive, Triton Cove Estates, Williams Addition. Referred to Eng. Becker. ram/ Copy of letter from Eng . Becker1to Robt. C . ,Gilbert re: Vacation of the Cassellary Road No.34- 1 . 70 . If Mr. Gilbert prefers , vacation can be initiated by the Board under RCW 36 .87 . 10 , sometime in 1973 . r Minutes of August 28th. con't. Board received request for Budget transfer from County Extension Agent, Palmer J. McCarter . Request is for transger of $975 from Co. Agent Budget of Salaries to Capital Outlay, for the purchase of a much needed mimeograph and Del-Tek (ditto) machine . Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Chairman O'Meara to approve transfer. Resolution will be drawn up for signing . Board reviewed the following correspondence without comment: Questionnarie from Planning & Community Affairs Agency re: Transit, parking and water facilities . Letter from Dept. of Social & Health Services re: Funding for alcoholism program. �.. ew proposals for the 1973 contract from Teamsters Local No. 589 . Copy of Variance Progress Report sent to Olympic Air Pollution Control Authority, from Eng . Becker, and letter from the Authority acknowledging receipt of report. Notide from State Liquor Board of license transfer from Melvin Frank Thompson d/b/a Half-Way House , to Etta Mae Spring , under same trade name . Notice from State Highway Commission re: Advertising along highways . Memorandum from Dept. of Social & Health Services re: Publicity on Food Stamp Program. Meeting adjourned to enable Board to inspect property , owned by several petitioners ,who appeared before the Board of Equalization.
