M.O'Meara with all members present. P Mr. Joe Welch appeared re: Golf shots on Memorial Field . Field has been dug up by other golfers . Mr. Welch request ermission to use mats , not the grass , for his instruction classes Permission granted by,Board . 'they asked iMr. Welch to contact Karl Kuehn, grounds keeper at the field . Suggested that signs also be posted against using the green. Resolution No. 28-72 , Amendment to Regulation No. 1 , Ordinance No. 1-69 , Discussion on 7 repairs and/or replacement of septic tanks at Becket Point. Board feels requests of this nature should be channeled through the Health Dept. before coming to the Board . Motion by Commis- sioner Kelly, to approve and sign resolution. Second by Commissioner Huntingford with under- standing that requests for variances go through the Health Dept. Unanimous by Board. Hearing for Shoreline Management Permit No. 24 , Port Townsend Development Corp. - previously known as Peninsula Development Co. Mr. Louis Vitalich, owner, and Mr. Harry Holloway III, Attny. for Corp. , appeared for hearing to explain plans for development. Proposes to go into full-time fish processing plant to be operated year around . Letter from Health Dept. stating there is no sanitary disposal system at this time , and system would be required. Mr. Vitalich stated they do have plans for sanitary sewage system and also separate disposal system for fish refuse , and explained plans for each system. No one appeared against the proposed project. Motion by Commissioner Huntingford , second by Commissioner Kelly to approve and sign permit. Unanimous by Board. Hearing for Shoreline Management Permit for City of Port Townsend for installation of a main sewer line to serve the Port of Port Townsend . Motion by Commissioner Huntingford, second by Commissioner Kelly to approve . Unanimous by Board . Board approved and signed July bills to be paid in August, as follows: Two notices from Seattle Dist. Corps of Engineers: (1) Re: 071-OYB-1-000925 , Donald H. Dahl - Hood Canal near South Point. Repair and preservation of existing bulkhead and fill, and construction of a residence . Exempt from Shoreline Permit. (2) Re: 071-OYB-1-000879 , Coast Oyster Co. - Quilcene Bay. Install mooring buoy. Exempt from Shoreline Permit. Notice from State Liquor Board of application for CD license transfer from Melvin Frank Thomp- son to Etta May Spring, Half-Way House . Commissioner Kelly will check. Board reviewed the following correspondence without comment: Notice from State Parks and Recreation Commission that Fort Worden State Park was the name officially adopted for State Park property. Notice from State Planning and Community Affairs Agency of file No. 72072656 , for any correspondence relating to Fort Worden State Park, Multi-Purpose Center Impact Study. Copy of letter to Olympic Regional Planning Council and EDA, from Willard J . Gariss, Ex. Director, Clallam-Jefferson Co. Community Action Council re: Fort Worden State Park Multi-Purpose Center Impact Study. I ^' Sixty days notice of Teamsters Local No. 589 to reopen the contracts for Road Dept. Land Sheriffs Dept. for the purpose of discussing changes in wages and working conditions . Copy of letter to Mayor Joseph B. Steve , from Director, Dept. of Emergency Services , requesting the City to reinstate the $12g0 . 00 previously budgeted to Civil Defence . Notice from Richard H. Slavin, Director, State Planning and Community Affairs Agency, of his resignation, effective Aug . 1 , 1972 , and to express his appreciation for having had the opportunity to work with'the Board . Copy of AC EF Liquor license for .Gale W. Frary, d/b/a Curley's Place , from State Liquor Control Board . j Notice from Harry A. Sutliffe , Pres . Sutliffe . Co. Inc. , of his new brokerage firm and 4 • Minutes of August 14th. con't. stating he will continue to represent the Wash. Co's . Ins . Fund. Three notices from the Dept. of Natural Resources , Co. trust land transmittal of funds; (1) $795 . 38 from Suspense Fund; (2) $30, 750 .00, from Pope & Talbot, Inc. ; (3) $25 ,500 .00, from Sim pson Timber Co. Question from ACTION re: Program for retired civil service and military personnel to serve as volunteers for federally supported programs . Questionnair from International City Management Assoc. re: Cable Television Notice from National Society of Professional Engineers , of avilability of former aero- space/defense Engineers or scientists for possible positions in the county. Three notices from the Dept. of Revenue re: (1) Ammendment to Property Tax Bulletin 72-13; (2) Forest tax information bulletin 2; and (3) Copy of letter to Co. Assessor stating Representatives from the Dept. will be conducting the "Ratio" study in Jeff. Co. in the near future . Minutes of District Board of Health meeting of June 28, 1972 . Olympic Air Pollution Control Authority Summary Activity Report for July, 1972 . There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned .
