Subject: Bid Opening, Jefferson County Universal Movement Playground
(JUMP!) at HJ Carroll County Park
Statement of Issue: Bid opening at 10:30 a.m. or shortly thereafter for the JUMP!
Project at HJ Carroll County Park.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: The JUMP! contract is for an all-inclusive
playground, which will provide a necessary service to Jefferson County.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The Engineer's Estimate is $610,837.
Construction is fully funded through a combination of a $500,000 RCO Grant, a
Jefferson County Capital Improvement Fund contribution of $550,000, and other
grants, pledges and cash donations.
Recommendation: The Board is requested to open the bids and direct Public Works
to review the bids and make a recommendation for award.
