The area is currently cleared of major trees and is covered with indigenous grasses and low growing shrubs. The existing drainage is from SW to NE and is collected in existing drainage ditches along the perimeter of the shooting range areas. This stormwater and natural drainage across the site is directed to collection in a retainage area in the northwest corner of the property. Flow is directed by excavated drainage ditches along the east side of the existing rifle range, along the south side of the existing handgun range and along the east side of the existing handgun range. The accumulated flow from these drainage ditches travels through an existing culvert under the bullet impact berm on the north of the existing handgun range and into the retainage area between the back of the handgun range impact berm and to the west of the existing rifle range. The newly excavated area for the proposed competition handgun range will not add to accumulated stormwater runoff and will not reduce natural, existing storm water absorption area. No new sources of potential groundwater pollution will result from excavation and construction of the new range area and covered structure. It will be necessary to include additional drainage ditching, swales and a culvert to redirect the existing natural drainage paths around the newly excavated area and into the existing drainage ditch system. A l" per hour stormwater/rainwater volume over the newly excavated area will produce a maximum runoff potential of 20,000 gallons. This will result in a potential maximum flow of 332 gallons per minute. This flow rate will ,;, ',
