Commercial Shooting Facility Operating permit
Mr. McNees,
Thank you for taking part in the online meeting between Jefferson County Environmental Public Health staff, Jefferson County Chief Civil Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Philip Hunsucker,
and JCSA. As we discussed, the JCSA commercial shooting facility application is required, per the operating agreement with Jefferson County, to use ordinance number 12-1102-18 or the
“old code” as described. Per this ordinance the following items are required to be submitted for a complete application:
Facility Design plan
Operating Plan (including noise abatement plan)
Safety Plan
We also discussed the deadline for submittal of the above-named items. As agreed, April 30th 2021 is when all of this is due to the county. While JCSA is working on the above items,
JCEPH will begin the process of obtaining the services of a professional range evaluator. Until your operating permit is approved, you will still be able to operate using the existing
license agreement.
The process will necessitate JCSA working with JCEPH staff on a monthly basis to ensure that the timeline is met. If you have any questions, please contact us.
