PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Jefferson County Sportsmen’s Association (JCSA) operates an existing commercial shooting range at 112 Gun Club Road. JCSA has operated the facility for over
50 years. On November 2, 2018 the County adopted Ordinance No. 12-1102-18, revising JCC Chapter 8.50. The code revision required established commercial shooting facilities in active
use to apply for and obtain an operating permit. This application is vested under the ordinances in effect on July 8, 2019.
SEPA REVIEW: On July 26, 2010 JCSA applied for a permit to add a pistol shooting range to the facility. Review under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) was required per WAC 197-11-800(1)(c)(ii
i). Jefferson County, acting as Lead Agency, issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance. No expansion of the facility has occurred since that time; therefore, SEPA review is
not required for this application.

COMMENTS: Persons wishing to comment on the project should submit written comments no later than 4:00 PM on June 30, 2021 to Jefferson County Public Health, c/o Alisa Hasbrouck, 615
Sheridan, Port Townsend, WA – ahasbrouck@co.jefferson.wa.us. Public comments should be as specific as possible and submitted to the County as early in the review process as possible.
Any person may comment on the application, receive notice of and participate in any hearings, request a copy of the decision once made, and may appeal the decision. The application
