After several meetings, the priorities were established based on the group's recommendation to form age-bands delineated into Youth Age, Working Age, and Older Age. These groups have developed strategic frameworks that, when completed/approved, will serve as a roadmap to improve the health of the community members represented in the focus of each age band; and Whereas, CHIP consistently serves as the convener, extender, and amplifier of strategic action on important health issues. The organization's credibility is underscored by the many community leaders and stakeholders who engage, and are committed to, supporting its continuance. Therefore,be it RESOLVED, That the Jefferson Board of Health assumes the oversight role for the CHIP Partnership with governance primarily focused on policy direction aimed at the successful operation and growth of CHIP; and 615 Sheridan•Castle Hill Center•Port Townsend•WA•98368 (360)385-9400 FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Jefferson County Board of Health assumes an oversight role that includes representation from the County, the Public Hospital District#2, the City of Port Townsend, and citizens; and FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Jefferson County Board of Health assumes an oversight role ensuring the communities of Jefferson County reap the intended benefits of fully implementing the Community Health Improvement Plan.; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Jefferson County Board of Health expects the CHIP Partnership to update the Board of Health at least quarterly and will be available to update and present to the Board of Commissioners of Public Hospital District#2 and the Port Townsend City Council as requested by them.
