CALL TO ORDER: Jefferson County Commissioner/Rotating Chair Greg Brotherton called the
Regular Meeting to order after confirming there was a quorum. Also present at the meeting was
Facilitator Lizanne Coker.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT of WRITTEN PUBLIC COMMENTS: No comments received.
APPROVAL of MINUTES: Member Smith moved to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes of
November 10, 2021 as presented. Member Fleming seconded the motion. The motion carried.
UPDATE re: Financial Report on Fund 148 and Fund 149: Facilitator Coker reviewed the
funds with the Task Force.
PRESENTATION re: Homeward Bound: Homeward Bound Secretary Justine Gonzalez-Berg
provided a presentation on Homeward Bound's activities. Homeward Bound Community Land
Trust(CLT) will be changing to the Olympic Housing Trust soon. Homeward Bound President
Jesse Thomas was present for discussion as well.
DISCUSSION re: Grants: Facilitator Coker reviewed current housing grants that are available.
UPDATE re: Evans Vista Purchase: City of Port Townsend Mayor/Member Michell Sandoval
provided an update on the City of Port Townsend's Evans Vista project. Discussion followed.
Rotating Chair Brotherton thanked Member Sandoval for all her service to the community
throughout the years. She will be retiring from public service on December 31, 2021.
OLD BUSINESS: The Task Force members listened to an update on the Shelter Team and
Jefferson County/City of Port Townsend Affordable Housing Interlocal Agreement(ILA).
NEW BUSINESS: No new business to discuss.
FUTURE MEETINGS and AGENDA ITEMS: Due to the newly formed Housing Fund Board
in 2022, it was uncertain what the Affordable Task Force's role will be moving forward. The
Task Force members were asked to save a placeholder for January 12, 2022.
ADJOURNMENT: Rotating Chair Brotherton adjourned the meeting at 3:46 p.m.
