WHEREAS, the COooty Treasurer was authorized on October 6, 1997 by
Resolution No. 112-97 to establish a fimd known as the DASA Stipend Food (#386)
with $1,400.00 received from the Jefferson COooty Health and Human Services
Department; and
WHEREAS, the COooty Auditor was authorized by the same Resolution No.
112-97 to disburse funds from the cash balance of said account as directed by the
Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the number of recipients eligible for payments from the DASA
Stipend Fund has increased dramatically since the time the fund balance was
established at $1,400.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County have detern:nned that it is in the best interest of
Jefferson County that the DASA Stipend Fund cash balance be increased to
$2,400.00.
