) RESOLUTION NO. 25-98
WHEREAS, Jefferson County is the record owner of the following described real property as indicated
on the attached legal description "EXI-IIßIT A", and made a part of this Resolution.
WHEREAS, notification was given and a PUBLIC HEARING was held by the Jefferson County Board
of County ComlD issioners, February 23, 1998, at 2:00 P.M. at the Jefferson County Courthouse,
Commissioners Chambers, Port Townsend Washington, for the purpose of taking testimony concerning
the intent to declare surplus property and intent to sell surplus propel1y to the Chimacum Schoo] District
for the purposes of construction of a public school facility.
WHEREAS, after due consideration, and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W.
36.34.130 and R.C. W, 39.33.020, it appears to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners that it is in
the public interest to declare the attached described real property as Surplus Property, all situate in the
State of Washington, County of Jefferson,
WHEREAS, after due consideration it appears to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners that it is
in the public interest to dispose of such Surplus, in accordance with RCW 39.33.020, and that a sale shall
be concluded with another political subdivision, the Chimicum School District for the purposes of
constructing a public school facility, for the purchase price of $120,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County,
in accordance with RCW 36.34.020 and RCW 36.34.130 does hereby convey the aforementioned real
property by execution and delivery of said Statutory Warranty Deed to the Chimacum School District.
APPROVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, this

IN THE MATTER OF JEFFERSON COUNTY SALE OF COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY TO THE
CHIMACUM SCHOOL DISTRICT:
KNOW ALL THESE MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the GRANTOR, JEFFERSON COUNTY, A
Municipal Corporation, for and in consideration of TEN DOLLARS ($10,00) and other valuable
consideration, grants and conveys and warrants unto the GRANTEE, CHIMACUM SCHOOL DISTRICT
#49, the "following described real estate, for the purposes of constructing a public school facility and
providing additional parking area "for the Jefferson County Rural Library District, situated in the County
of Jefferson, State of Washington,
All that portion of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 2, Township 29 North, Range 1 West, W .M.,
described as follows:
Beginning at a square monument marked J.C. 30 at West 1/4 corner of Section 2;
thence South 0°52'17" West along the West Section line of Section 2, Township 29 North, Range
1 West, W.M., a distance of 526.0 feet;
thence running South 88 °03' 18" East parallel to the North line of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 2,
Township 29 North, Range 1 West, W.M., a distance of 1140.0 feet to the true point of beginning
for this description;
thence South 0° 52j' 17" West a distance of 795.77 feet to a point thirty 'feet from the centerline of
Jefterson County Road No.4; also known as State Route 116, said point being on the Northerly
right of way line of ~aid road;
thence North 61 °48'00" East along said right of way line a distance of 592.0 feet, more or less, to
the Westerly right of way line of Jefferson County Road No. 4-0.49; commonly known as Cedar
Avenue. ,

of 1646.56 feet to a point on the center line of Cedar Avenue, Jefferson County Road Log

thence South 2 ° 18' 17" West, along said center line, as shown on plans for County Road Project
#496, a distance of 404.30 feet;

to the intersection of the Westerly right of way line of said Cedar Avenue and the Northerly right of
