In the Matter of Establishing
A Cash Drawer for the
WSU Learning Center Program Fund

RESOLUTION NO. 31-98
WHEREAS, Jefferson County Cooperative Extension has requested the establishment of
a cash/change drawer in the amount of $50.00, for cash transactions dealing with the WSU
Learning Center program fees; and
WHEREAS, the WSU Learning Center Program Fund was established by Resolution No,
6-98; and
WHEREAS, Cooperative Extension has found that it would be in the best interest of the
County, to ensure compliance with the Cash Handling Policy and provide increased internal
control.
NOW lliEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Cooperative Extension be granted one
cash/change drawer in the amount of $50.00 and the County Treasurer be authorized to issue a
Treasurer's check in the amount of $50.00 payable to the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension.
BE IT FURlliER RESOLVED, that the cash/change drawer shall be used ID1ly by
authorized users, and the drawer shall be cashed out and balanced each night at closing following
the procedures outlined by the Cash Handling Policy.
