'!-rI--¡ I tX--i ð-7l-"Ã-..-<.-J' r /1, /..ç;~ií¿Ø-;t~t1 // JE~~ERSON COUNTY AL~ITOR Department Revised 7/91 ~ ~ VOL 24 r~(,~662 ...)" \\~- fJ'" ~-'~-' ""1" STATE OF WASHINGTON County of Jefferson In the Matter of Establishing a Special Fund to be Known as the Section 125 Administmtion Fund RESOLUTION NO 15-98 WHEREAS, in 1997 the Board of Commissioners approved a Section 125 program for County employees in accordance with IRS regulations; and, WHEREAS, the administration of the child care and medical expense reimbursement portions of the Section 125 Program can be admiQistered by a qualified company or by the County; and, WHEREAS, after reviewing the charges for a qualified company to handle these administration service against the costs associated with the County self administering this program, it is in the best interest of the County to self administer the Section 125 child care and medical expense . reimbursement plan; and, WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of all parties to establish a special fund which will facilitate the financial record keeping required for the adrninistmtion of this program. NOw. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer be, and she is hereby authorized to establish a special fund to be known as the SECTION 125 ADMINISTRATION FUND (#628-000-010). .. BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED, that in order to service the Section 125 child care and medical expense reimbursement program in a timely manner, it is hereby found and declared that the convenience and uninterrupted services provided by this program, requires this Board of Commissioners to proceed in manner and form as herein determined, and that the sum of six thousand dollars ($6,000.00) be borrowed from the Industrial Insurance Reserve Fund, the same to be repaid in full along with an interest payment of three (3) per cent per annum within five years of the date of this resolution; and . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that SECTION 125 ADMINISTRATION FUND reserves shall be invested by the County Treasurer and interest shall be earned for the benefit ofth~ SECTION 125 ADMINISTRATION FUND; and, DE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners that the County Treasurer be, and she is hereby authorized and empowered, to transfer the amount of six thousand and no/l 00 dollars ($6,000) from the unencumbered balance of the Jefferson County Current Expense Fund, into the Jefferson County SECTION 125 ADMINISTRATION FUND (#628-000-010) after it is duly established.
