In the Matter of Decreasing the Balance
of the Sheriff s Revolving Fund
RESOLUTION NO 36-98
WHEREAS, the Sheriff s Revolving Fund currently has a reimbursable balance of
$5,000; and,
WHEREAS, there is no longer a need for this balance to be at $5,000, as set by
Resolution No. 94-95, because the bills for food and supplies at the jail are now being processed
through the regular County voucher system; and,
WHEREAS, the Concealed Weapons License program has been identified as
another need for this Revolving Fund; and,
WHEREAs, it has been determined by Sheriffs Office personnel that a $1,500
balance in the Revolving Fund is adequate to handle the needs ofthe Concealed Weapons
License program; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, by the Board of County Commissioners
that the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office is hereby directed to reduce the balance ofthe
Revolving Fund established by Resolution No. 94-95 to $1,500 and that the purpose of this
Revolving Fund be changed from buying food and supplies for the jail, to being used for the
Concealed Weapons License program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Auditor is authorized to
adjust the attendant entries required for this Revolving Fund in the General Ledger to reflect the
reduction of $3,500.00 in the fund balance. , J PÞ¡
