An Intent to Vacate
A County Road Right of Way:

WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners
that it is not in the public interest to retain, as county road right of way, the portion of Old Ness'
to Hadlock Road, described as follows:
That portion of the Old Ness' to Hadlock Road, being approximately 60 feet in width,
lying outside of the present right-of-way of SR116 (formerly known as County Road No.
4), as it runs through Assessor's Parcel Numbers 901023018 and 901023008, located in
the SW % of Section 2, Township 29 North, Range 1 West, records of Jefferson County,
Washington.
And in contemplation of the language of the statute RC.W, 36.87.010, same is useless.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, and the County Engineer is hereby directed to
examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this county road right of way should be
vacated and abandoned and all other facts, matter and things which will be of importance to the
Board, and that such report to be filed as soon as possible. The hearing date for the proposed
vacation is Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at the hour of 1:30 p.m., with the Jefferson County
Hearing Examiner in the lower level conference room, Courthouse, Port Townsend,
Washington,
