RESOLUTION NO, 68-98
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County to dispose
of surplus property; and
WHEREAS, a Department within the County's jurisdiction has indicated a need to
dispose of a 30,000 gallon propane tank, for sale by sealed bid up until the hour of 10:00 a.m,
September 11, 1998 at the Office ofthe COlll1ty Treasurer.
NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of Jefferson COlmty
that a Notice of Hearing shall be published as required by RCW 36.34.020 particularly
describing the propane tank to be sold and designating the place where, the day and hour, when
the hearing will be held for such consideration.

Our Public Works Facilities Division has informed me that we have a propane tank and approximately
16,500 gallons of propane that we need to declare "surplus county property". This propane equipment
was part of an emergency generator system that supports the Sheriff s emergency operations. The
generator failed and needed to be replaced. The choice for replacement was a diesel-powered model,
leaving us with an unusable propane tank and propane. The specifications on the tank are as follows:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE INTENTION OF JEFFERSON COUNTY
TO SELL SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
will hold a public hearing on the 24th day of August 1998 at 1:45 p.m. in the County
Commissioner's Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port
Townsend, Washington, for the purpose of declaring their intention to dispose of a
30,000 gallon propane tank.
Your views for or against the sale of this surplus real property are invited by
attendance, representation, or letter.
